aloud started out well with their first single 'sound of the
underground' quickly reaching #8 on the chart, but then they
initially had about as many 'misses' as they had 'hits' ~ during
the first part of their career. later they became more
consistent with their hits as their recipe for relentless catchy
pop became more and more evident! more importantly they
began selling albums, and in 2008 they achieved their first
#1 single, proving they weren't playing second fiddle to any
other girl band. having disbanded in 2012, theirs is an
impressive chapter in the history of pop music!
