band from south africa originated when the members were still in school.
with no prominent techno-gospel artists on the scene at the time,
mic quickly filled the gap. mic will also be remembered as "the
band that finally lifted michael sweet from the #1 spot after 26 weeks!"
it was with their 2nd album "crazy world" that it became
clear this band meant business! they had been one of the few consistently
successful "techno" artists to feature on the blue-box charts.
of late they have gone off a bit due to line-up changes and
a more hip-hop approach - which hasn't proven to be popular on the
blue islands - but they'll continue to be remembered for their hey-day
stance on dance music.
