her instant tremendous success around the world, mariah carey
had a slow rise to stardom on the blue-islands. but, when her
rocket hit, it hit big! since '93 she scored a series of #1
hits on blue-box, most impressively with "without you"
that spent an amazing 14 weeks at the top! just as quickly as
she had shot to superstardom on the blue islands however, her
star seemed to wane again as her move to an increasingly more
r&b sound seemed to alienate her from her blue islands audience.
recently mariah started enjoying a new "emancipation"
on the charts again, and she continues to be a voice and talent
like few others!
