ritish boy band McFly started out in the early 2000's - as what seemed to be little more than a "Busted-clone" (more an assumption than anything else though); their music mostly a kind of "punk-schoolboy-rock"...
Since then they've matured, and so has their music! And while some fans seem to lament their change of direction in music (which has become more mainstream pop, including more synths, etc.), to these shores this is especially where they've moved into a space where they can be thoroughly appreciated & enjoyed!
One only has to listen to their newest album - 'Above The Noise' - their most accessible to date... to understand what a delightful machine this has turned into!
