ichael sweet became the biggest artist of 1995 due to the record-breaking acquirements of his debut solo-album and its string of non-stop #1 singles! this has been the most successful debut in blue-box history - and the only time all the songs on one album had been released as singles (and most impressively, only one of those songs didn't make #1!) he received no less than 5 blue glove awards in '95 (for male artist, songwriter, album for michael sweet , ballad for "forever yours" and rock song for "ain't no safe way"! ) his debut solo-album stayed at #1 for 26 weeks - the longest ever behind only shania twain's reign with "come on over"! after the dizzy heights of success he achieved previously as lead singer of the rock band stryper, michael sweet has proven to be a solo-artist and songwriter for which there is no equal! in 2003 michael reunited with his former hard rock supergroup stryper, as well as continuing on as a solo artist.
