O-Zone

an Balan, Radu Sarbu and Arsenie Toderas, alias O-Zone, released their first single "Numai Tu" in 2002 in Romania. It was soon followed by "Despre Tine" which reached No. 1 in Romania and remained there for 7 weeks.
An album "DiscO-Zone" followed in March 2003 and the band's third single "Dragostea Din Tei" was released. The song was an instant hit in Romania.
But, it wasn't until March 2004, when "DDT" became an international single, that their talent was noticed. The song became an international smash hit, and reached No. 1 in 14 countries - including the Blue Islands where it spent 11 weeks!  In France it spent an amazing 16 weeks at No. 1, and was 14 weeks at the top in Germany. "Despre Tine" was released as the follow-up single and did equally as well.
