ustralian-born
rebecca cracked the b.i. market in 1996, cleverly with an alanis
morissette-esque rock-take on christian mythology-inspired themes.
"god" became one of the top-acquired albums of the
year, delivering three #1 singles. (it performed even better
on these shores than its inspiration - alanis' "jagged
little pill"!) another #1 album followed two years later,
plus another few charting singles and albums. she'll be remembered
as one of the main figures of the 90's CMM scene.
