hen morten harket, paul waaktaar and magne furuholmen
formed a-ha in the early 1980's, they probably never suspected they would become the biggest musical act ever to hit the blue-box charts in pop history! a-ha have the distinction of having the most no.1 songs in history - a staggering 24 no.1 hit singles! this norwegian trio has also had 17 no.1 albums! they have spent a total of 122 weeks at #1 on the singles chart, and a total of 129 weeks at #1 on the albums chart – the most weeks for any artist at #1 ever! after their initial split in 1994, their comeback in 2000 was considered one of the most important musical events in recent music history. following a very successful decade in the 00's, a-ha once more announced calling it quits at the end of 2010, certainly ending on a high note.  life sometimes just keeps on giving though, and they again reunited in 2015, continuing their reign as one of the greatest pop bands ever!
