I'm really enjoying the new DEF LEPPARD album 'Songs From The Sparkle Lounge'...

Most of their fans are probably aware that they're way past having the capability of ever creating another masterpiece of the calibre of the classic 'Hysteria', but that doesn't mean they can't still create some damn fine catchy rock tracks!
'Sparkle Lounge' is nowhere near being any kind of masterpiece, but it does show an experienced band having FUN and rocking harder than they have in many years... I haven't enjoyed a Def Lep album this much since 'Hysteria'!

Congrats to KYLIE this week... as 'In My Arms' becomes her first #1 single in 7 years - the last time was with 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' in 2001.

Hard to believe this is only her fourth #1 single on Blue-Box... the first time was when 'Confide In Me' spent 2 weeks at the top in 1994; after that she had two in 2001: first with 'Your Disco Needs You' which stayed at #1 for 3 weeks, and then the landmark CGYOOMH - with a 4 week stay at the top.

MADONNA has announced her 'Sticky and Sweet' World Tour she will be embarking on beginning in August.

The tour will span three continents and include between 50-60 shows in total.

Globally produced by Live Nation, Madonna's tour in support of her current chart-topping Warner Bros. release "Hard Candy" will play stadiums in the U.K. and Europe until the end of September, arenas and stadiums in North America in October and November, and then stadiums in Mexico and South America late November-December.

"I'm thrilled to be involved in another worldwide Madonna extravaganza," Arthur Fogel, chairman of global music for Live Nation, tells Billboard.com. Fogel has helmed Madonna's last three world tours, which grossed almost $400 million combined. Her 2006 Confessions tour is, at $194 million, the top-grossing tour ever by a female artist.

"The reality is she's delivered her last album to Warner Bros., and it's a smash, which is great for everybody," Fogel says. "We now have a tremendous opportunity with a tremendous artist to do all kinds of new and innovative things on many different levels, and this tour will be the start of that rollout."
