A band that's been around for a while... making quite an impact around the world... and audiences on the Blue Islands are finally taking to... THE XX! Kind of an acquired taste... but what one has to "get" about The Xx, is - like the simplicity of their album cover - it's all about their MINIMALISTIC sound... using BASIC instruments, but expertly combined and executed - that stands quite out in today's bombardment of overproduction and auto-tuning... Not everybody's cup of tea? Sure, but they're exhibiting quite a special craftmanship and a unique sound! Very worthwhile!

Quite impressed with the new British duo 'HURTS'... Kind of an early-80's-Depeche Mode/The Attic sound going on... and like the voice (an important ingredient!) Video for first single 'Better Than Love': Second single 'Wonderful Life' is already beginning to do big things on the international scene, and debut album 'Happiness' is just landing... (Kind of a 'Pet Shop Boys'-thing going on with their image I think - though they're better looking! )
