What a pleasure! AWOLNATION returns with a brand new song and video ~ "The Best", and doesn t disappoint! (Actually the rapid verses remind me a bit of Per s singing in early ROXETTE, and SAVAGE GARDEN s "I Want You"... In other words: it s great! )

Don t know much about this band, but just saw this cover of their (1974) album "Nightlife", and thought it was really cool!

Oooh... That was SOOO close...! CONGRATS this week to K-391, ALAN WALKER & co.... who just narrowly beat SHAKESPEARS SISTER and RICHARD HAWLEY s brilliant "When She Finds You". The latter ALMOST became SSs first #1 since "Stay" in 1992... and becomes their third Top Ten this year after the excellent "All The Queens Horses" (#9) and "C U Next Tuesday" (#7)! It is also their third Top 5 hit, following "Stay" and "You re History" (1989). Released in September, "When She Finds You" initially peaked at #14, but this week makes a triumphant re-entry ~ following the promotion and release of their new EP "Ride Again". It s good to have them back delivering quality tunes!

Such a wonderful, classy video, huh?

"Play" has had a lengthy trip to the top, and it really looked like it would end up one of the many #2s that Alan Walker has had (already four just in 2019!)

(Meanwhile fellow Norwegian TORINE (not to be confused with Morten Harket s daughter Tomine... I checked, haha) has her first solo chart entry this week at #12 with "Dancing In My Sleep".)

On the Albums Chart OMD returns to #1 with their retrospective collection "Souvenir", while the 2019 Edition of the Blue-Box "Halloween" album moves up again to #6.
