One of my jams at the moment... Swedish band THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA returning with 'Lovers In The Rain', from their new album 'Sometimes The World Ain't Enough'.

A great video for comic lovers... Like a modern 'Take On Me'!

Wow.... Better late than never, right??
Just discovered the - now-defunct - amazing American band FOXY SHAZAM... Very much in the vein of Queen, The Darkness, and The Struts..... The latest Freddie Mercury -incarnate... I'm loving their 'Holy Touch'!!

Oh, and I so agree also with what one of the reviewers said ~ it's so Freddie Mercury meets CHER!

The pictures we thought we'd never see again.... FRIDA, AGNETHA, BENNY AND BJORN in RMV Studio Stockholm, recording the two new songs! To be released end of the year!

Powerful stuff! Purveyors of state-of-the-art electronica, GOLDFRAPP has teamed up with other occasional purveyor of state-of-the-art electronica, Depeche Mode's DAVE GAHAN, on a re-release of 'Ocean' (originally from last year's GF album 'Silver Eye')... A match made in heaven? Pretty close!

For our album reviews, here's the new segment we call:

The big release this week (year?) is of course Swedish pop metallers GHOST, with their fourth full-length 'Prequelle'... And oh boy... What a MASTERPIECE!!

I wasn't necessarily convinced on first listen... and even found myself thinking it was "underwhelming"... but that was partly because two of the stand-out tracks are the two singles that have already been out for weeks ~ the Blue-Box #1's 'Rats' and 'Dance Macabre' (and at first I felt the others weren't quite matching up to that).
The other (and probably most important) reason was that my expectations were sky-high... (which makes it almost impossible to meet them, you know).

Upon second listen... I was sold! It's all-killer-no-filler! Frontman Tobias Forge is proving more and more with each album that he's a musical genius. This is melodic theatrical pop metal at its best! And despite its catchy singles (and potential future singles), it's an album-album... meaning it's a unique and thrilling experience to listen to the FLOW of the album from beginning to end!

Now something really great and powerful needs to come along to prevent this from becoming Album of the Year... just saying!!
