Saw KYLIE MINOGUE's "X Tour" in Taipei last night... and to quote one of her hits: WOW!!!

It was really, really, REALLY nice... Kylie's SUCH a great entertainer... and it was a dream come true to finally see her live... One of the things that stands out with her, is she seems to be a really grounded person, and she really made an effort to communicate with the audience... so we didn't just see a great concert, but felt like we really got in touch with Kylie herself, oh - and she looked beautiful!

I was also VERY impressed that some of my favourite Kylie-tracks were included (which aren't necessarily always included in her shows): 'Step Back In Time' and 'Your Disco Needs You'... and THE highlight of the evening for me definitely was when she performed the Freemasons remix of 'The One'... (I was all teary-eyed... it was so beautiful! )

To get a better idea of what we saw, have a look at this trailer for the new DVD of the tour that's just been released (that I'll definitely be getting!):

Was the UBER-delicious Jason Beitel on stage as well?!

Mmm... actually I'm not sure... There were definitely a few "pre-recorded shots" of him on the back screen, and once or twice I thought I saw him dancing live as well, but I wasn't sure. We were standing a bit far from the stage I'm afraid...

I really like this... KANYE WEST's new single 'Heartless'... he's going more and more pop, which of course I welcome. Despite his ego, I've always had a kind of appreciation for how he keeps "pushing the envelope"... and realize he's one of the most creative artists around today! Well, on his new album '808s & Heartbreak' it's his biggest push yet!
I haven't been able to get too taken with him up till now, since he's a hip-hop artist, but on his new album he goes pop/r&b and hardly ever raps! And I still plan to "keep my distance", at least moderately ('cause he's EGO leaves much to be desired!)

Enjoy this... the nice animated video for his great new single!

Oh, I forgot to mention... the bridge he sings in the second part of the song is so beautiful... it really makes the song!

Question: what's the movie I look forward to more than any other movie on earth??
Answer: the next STAR TREK movie! Pity we still have to wait so long until May 2009... , but you have to at least check out this new trailer for it if you haven't already... Returning to Kirk, Spock and the rest of the original crew (back when they were younger and still in the Academy), it looks like it's gonna be GREAT! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Well, I'm back as well after a wonderful couple of weeks away in the African wilderness (literally), as well as The Philippines (with my soon to be 'legal' other-half).

This Boyzone video is amazing! We are surely living in exciting times, when clips like this and John Barrowman's are aired on national television.

Sadly, it seems it will never be enough, as there will always be the likes of those who voted (or didn't/wouldn't) against Proposition 8... the ones who find themselves self-important enough to deny their fellow men the right to love. (Thanks Rohan, for posting that wonderful Keith Olbermann clip).

But we seem to overlook the fact that Prop 8 is merely a concern in California (one state in the US only). Thankfully, I'm [proudly] South African, one of a few countries where same sex marriages ARE legal.

I think topics like gay marriage need to be brought up more often because a lot of ignorant people (and dare I say, especially Americans) are unaware that it is happening outside their little world.

Welcome back Fonda! Glad you had a great time away.

Bless South Africa for that... it's a great example they're setting!
I agree - these ARE exciting times we live in!
