One of my favourite Eurovision entries for this weekend: Israel's entry (and the second Israeli song I'm listening to this year - following The Idan Raichel Project from earlier this year) - BOAZ MAUDA with 'The Fire In Your Eyes (Ke'ilo Kan)'... beautiful!

Hebrew is actually a beautiful singing language with is prominent 'gg'-sound.

Boaz's live performance in the semi-final last night was simply amazing! Watch this.

Boaz's song is a new entry on the chart this week, though it JUST misses out on the Top 20... peaking at #22...
And while he's become one of the Blue Islands' top choices to win this weekend's Eurovision contest, the top favourite on these shores is still 'Hero' by Sweden's Charlotte Perrelli!

It is awesome to see Charlotte Perrelli's "Hero" still in the Top 5 here on Blue-Box in this wonderful Eurovision 2008 week!

My fingers are crossed for Sweden to have a great result with this little diamond of a song in Saturday's final.

Just how MARVELOUS is this performance!?
Especially @ 01:33!

And Iceland's dance ditty has one of THE best / campest official videos I've even seen!

These are all nice! Just too bad SERGEY's 'Flyer' won't also be competing for Russia...

I'm really grateful to my great friend Cobus for this great find... Canadian singer GAROU, who's released several very successful French albums, has just released his first English album 'Piece Of My Soul'...

...and WOW... this guy can SING! Kind of 'Chris Cornell-meets-Joe Cocker'... his voice is really a welcome treat!

Here from the album is a url link for the first single and video (written by Rob Thomas!): 'Stand Up'...

Some more info I found out about him... he first appeared in the French version of 'Hunchback Of Notre-Dame' as Quasimodo, singing with Tina Arena - the role that made him a superstar. He also had a hit duet with Celine Dion in 2001...

Earlier this year it was SANDRA and MICHAEL CRETU, and now it's been announced that SHANIA TWAIN and her mega-producer husband ROBERT "MUTT" LANGE are seperating after 14 years of marriage.
Twain's label has said "this is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time". Twain is now 42 and Lange 59.

The label also would not comment on whether Lange would be involved in Shania's next album (which was last reported as being expected this year).

Lange has also produced albums for the likes of Def Leppard, AC/DC, Foreigner and Bryan Adams.
