Reasons to be CHEERFUL!

I just can't get over the DELIGHTNESS of the first Billboard 100 to see in 2008!
Flo Rida's "Low" has finally made it to the top (and it took ONLY 9 weeks, so it'll be a top for at least another 4, 'til Chris Brown takes over ), and popsters Fergie, Colbie Caillat, Jordin Sparks and Sara Bareilles are all in the Top 10.

Another MARVEL of a pop-ballade (which I'm positive will become one of 2008's biggest hits), Chris Brown's "With You", is sitting pretty at No. 15 after 4 weeks ONLY (72-36-25-15), AND Natasha Bedingfield & Sean Kingston's lovely duet is Top 20 (still bulleted).

Live's GOOD!

It's certainly reason to be cheerful when POP artists are featuring more and more on the Billboard charts again! (Even Britney's latest one is edging ever closer to the Top 20).

Xmas Movie Update..

As many of you probably know ..."The Bourne Ultimatum" has been released on Dvd, and I had the chance of watching it.
I suppose it's down to each individual how much they liked the 3rd in The series. Personally I thought it was lacking something. Something new , something fresh , something "Wow!" The action stunts were ok , but once again , nothing new , nothing spectacular, nothing we haven't seen before in a Bourne Movie. Critics compare it to 007 Movies , and say - " Stand aside Bond - Bourne has arrived" - I do hope they are referring to the latest Bond Film "Casino Royale". Because Bourne was in my opinion only slightly better than CS, which is not a big achievement in itself.

On the other hand though - there is the new Action Thriller - I AM LEGEND starring Will Smith - released worldwide today ( Boxing Day). We've seen it in the cinema earlier today , and what a joy to watch such a master piece. It keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire film , and is REALLY scary! Not to mention the Outstanding visual/special effects that accompanies almost every film today.
And while I'm on the subject of Will Smith - if you haven't had the oppurtunity to see " The Pursuit of HappYness" - do get it on dvd. Such a sad , heart warming , feel good Movie!

Ok, I won't tell you I thought Bourne Ultimatum WAS a great movie, and about a 100x better than 'Die Hard 4'... I won't!

My - you DO see a lot of movies, don't you? I think the last one I saw may have been Fantastic 4 - Rise of the Silver Surfer!

"Bourne Ultimatum" for me was just one endless lo-o-o-o-ng car chase (the bits that I was awake, I might add). What a DULL, pointless waste of money this movie was!

Another movie I recently watched on DVD, that can count as one of THE best films I've ever seen, is "The Lives Of Others" - the German gem that won "Best Foreign Film" Oscar this year. It was absolutely delightful, and I can recommend this to everyone!

I couldn't agree more with the anonymous reply above.

O yes , and another Movie coming out in 2008 which is sure to be a Hit , is Batman - The Dark Knight. I've seen the teaser yesterday and it looks stunning!

"the joy of passive entertainment" ...lol!
Yes, next year's new Batman movie is probably the one I'm looking forward to most! With Heath Ledger as "The Joker" and Christian Bale as the the Dark Knight; and if it's anything like the last one, it's gonna be brilliant!

The best remix I've heard yet of Britney's 'Piece Of Me'... the Mike Rizzo mix... almost better than the original... this would go down GREAT on the dance floor!

The song itself might range from making some people call it "one of her best yet" to some saying it's "a let-down", but whatever one thinks of the song, I think the COVER (as in picture) of KYLIE's latest single '2 Hearts' keeps sticking out - it's really one of the best I've seen in a long time!

I agree that the covers of both "2 Hearts" and "X" are two of the best I have ever seen. So incredibly striking and engaging.
