Don't know if you know the feeling... when you listen to a new song... and it sounds so good you almost want to CRY...!
And more so then when it's one of your favourite artists...
Well, this was the case when I first heard the new SANDRA album 'The Art Of Love'... I listened to new album track 'All You Zombies', and it sounded SO nice, I almost shed a tear of excitement!
Having already been heavily impressed by new tracks 'The Way I Am' and 'Logical Love', my expectations were even exceeded when I heard the whole album...!
This is the first album of Sandra's career she's doing without husband/ENIGMA's Michael Cretu's help... and strangely - a lot of it sounds very Enigma... with a lot of whispering and talking. However, if that doesn't sound very appealing - don't be misled! She pulls it off very well - creating a unique "organic sounding" album!
As mentioned before, the album boasts mostly "real" instruments this time, and most songs were at least co-written by Sandra herself - in the process creating her most personal album to date.
But let me get to the point: this is a GREAT-sounding album - one of her best! Sandra does have the kind of voice though which some people might dislike, but I like it!
The album so far is one of the highlights of the year for me... Sandra's taken a page out of Madonna's book and reinvented herself...
Welcome back Sandra, and thanks a lot for blessing us with 'The Art Of Love'!
