37 weeks ! of which 11 weeks at no 1, and currently at no 12 on the Charts and climbing again.....
Who am I talking about ?
This is Amazing. I thought "release " had done well, but am pleasantly surprised by the success of "Fundamental " here on the islands. The Boys have outdone themselves this time , and I'm glad to see the Islands recognises true talent.
Still unsure who I am referring to?
I'll give you a clue P........S........B........

Ok - I'm definitely not a fan - and I think the song is one of her worst - but... what a cover!

Lol! I'm not making this up... but just this morning I dreamt I was being chased by two crocodiles! Must have been from this image I'd posted just the previous night?!

I've always believed: "the truth will set you free"... so I usually try to stick to that as far as possible.
However, a recent "incident" made me doubt the validity of that again... in a situation where I told the truth and found myself in an unwanted situation...a simple lie would have made the whole situation much easier and so uncomplicated.
So - maybe it should rather be: "a lie will set you free" and "the truth will get you into trouble"?
Well, sometimes at least I think that's true!

Oh, DO TELL!
It's always important to speak only the truth, I believe!
A week ago I've made the shocking discovery that I'd been lied to, by someone who I'd thought as 'special', for the past four odd years! Strange tho', I've always known the lies, but had never acted upon it, or had proof - AWFUL situation!
I guess Damien Rice sums it up best in his song "Cannonball": "Life taught us to die and love taught us to lie!"

Well.Sometimes I think telling lies is just like killing "living things". You just have to do it when you can't avoid it,right?

Fortunately it had nothing to do with my significant other. It was a girl that had fallen for me and had asked if I had a girlfriend. Had I "simply lied" the situation would probably have been resolved, but instead she's got her hopes up and the whole situation is so annoying...
Oh well, hopefully the whole thing will just "harmlessly go away!"

@ Reks: Lol! You ARE talking about insects, right? You're not some "serial killer" or something, right?

Out of Expierience I believe that a Lie is always Short lived - and the Truth always comes out... So even If your situation seems akward now by telling the truth, you'll find that it will save you heartache in the long run

Just the other day I was thinking... although we hear a lot of great songs these days, we kind of lack the consistent BRILLIANCE of amazing song-after-amazing song that artists used to give us like ABBA, BONEY M and ROXETTE (unfortunately "used to" IS the phrase to use for the latter as well)...

However, first signs indicate a possible new act that might just do that... enter MIKA!

He's a London-based singer (born in Beirut, Lebanon) and gives us a blend of pop, rock and funk... like a mix of Queen, Scissor Sisters and The Darkness (the falsetto's!) - some of the catchiest melodies I'd heard in a while!
To be honest, he's blowing me away with almost everything I've heard from him so far...

It's still a bit early to tell, but I want to dare a prediction that he might become THE success story of 2007!
Downloads of first single 'Grace Kelly' is already outselling everything else on the 'Islands this week, and I can't wait for the album 'Life In Cartoon Motion' to be released Feb. 5th...

But don't just take my word for it - listen to another song of his - 'Relax, Take It Easy' (below from Youtube - just the song, not a video) - I think it's even catchier than 'Grace Kelly'.... Save the music indeed - yay!

Must admit, after listening to 'Grace Kelly' a few times, that "ka-ching" at the end really is unpleasantly irritating!

I agree, but fortunately it's only a few seconds right at the end of the song...

I have to Agree! This guy has got talent! The music is pleasantly uplifting and packed with Humor. He's got a magnificent voice too, and I like the highs and lows of it. In the beginning of Grace Kelly he reminds a bit of Robbie Williams , and I LIKE the "Freddy" part. I know what I will be buying on Monday!

Hip-hop... How - imo - it can SPOIL a song! Heard Amy Winehouse's 'You Know I'm No Good' before which included a RAP by someone, and I HATED it...! Now I've just heard the album version (with no rap) and I LOVE it!
Nas (or someone)'s new album is called 'Hip-hop Is Dead'... I WISH!

Oh - btw - AMY WINEHOUSE's latest album 'Back To Black' is truly wonderful! Very jazzy... (it should be interesting to see how this compares with the new Norah Jones to be released soon - my money's on Amy though!) Internationally it will surely be one of the albums of the year?

Amy Winehouse's new album is magnificent, but for me it still can't beat her debut album in 2004 (which in my books is a classic masterpiece!). Norah Jones' new album, unfortunately, is nothing special, and all she can offer is more of the same... (somewhere on the web she's actually being compared to Enya... I can't agree more!). Now, the album I'm REALLY looking forward to, is Joss Stone's newie, which will be out this month! IMO, Joss has just that little edge over Winehouse, although they're both truly great!
