While a-ha were finishing their current tour in Trondheim- Russia, they were given a hail from their own country of Norway...

Article in www.a-ha.com reads:

Robbie Williams pays tribute to a-ha! (2003-11-16)
During his first show in Oslo this year, Robbie Williams joined ranks with other music-biz heavy-weights such as Coldplay and U2 in praising a-ha's music. From the stage at Valhall he expressed his admiration eloquently; "a-ha...they're f***ing great!", and proceeded to play an acoustic version of The Sun Always Shines on TV with the audience singing along.

Apparently Ricky Martin will release a new English album early in 2004, but until then here's a picture we're sure will make some of you smile...

Yes... a trend that's picking up on the Blue Islands... nude gymnastics!
Rumours are this pic was taken with the opening of one of the big nude gymnastics events... with Ricky attending, alongside stars such as Brad Pitt, Mark Wahlberg, Enrique Iglesias and Justin Timberlake - to mention a few!
(Will try to forward more pics of the events as they become available...!)

It's a shame about Mandy, I'm DELIGHTED about Pet Shop Boys (hope they keep the position!), but what is Enrique doing so low??

And why is the Kylie album so low??

(Maybe the fact that that's only after a day's sales? So I guess ANYTHING can still happen!)

Hi -- I didn't expect Shania to be Top 10 this time, but Number 20 is a bit low, isn't it! (And, it was Number 23 on Monday). Considering it's a double-A with "Up" (which is a better song than some of the previous singles off the album) it should do much better.
Re: Kylie -- I'm not surprised, even the fans are disappointed -- but again, we (yes, I am a fan!) all expected Fever Part II, and this isn't it! To these ears it's a tad too American sounding.

Are u serious Fonda? "Slow" - American sounding? I think it's like nothing else on the American charts! It IS a bit of a dissapointment though... expected something more "danceable!" Also don't think it will do much on the American charts...

Yeah - quite low for Shania - probably means it'll be the last single off "Up!" in the UK (unless they decide to release that wretched "She's Not Just A Pretty Face" as well! ) It's a shame though - should have been released earlier if you ask me - one (two) of the best songs off the album!

Yes, it's a good video.
The Enrique single is out this week, as well as Westlife, Girls Aloud & Alex Parks. Another tough battle for UK #1.
I predict:
1. Alex Parks
2. Westlife
4. Girls Aloud
6. Enrique
Will send this week's midweeks tomorrow when they become available. I would really like to see Alex Parks at #1 - it is such a good song!

BTW, interesting chart fact:
First week sales-
Busted - 55,033
Britney & Madonna - 48,751

Kylie's first week sales 2 weeks ago 41,434
Lylie last week: 18,088

Westlife is releasing yet another cover version as their follow-up sinle to Mandy. This time it's Mr. Big's - Be With You (out in March).
Someone please stop them!

Agreed! With all the money they have, and all the talented songwriters out there, why don't they pay for some decent, original songs? Makes one wonder what's to become of Westlife?

Have just heard the Westlife version of "Be With You" and it's rather fabulous! In fact - the whole new album is suprisingly good!
