about the blue-box charts:
the blue-box charts are the only official charts of the blue islands (B.I.).  it's a celebration of music... old and new - depicting what floats the boats of the b.i. population at the moment.  it consisted of the weekly top 30 charts (up till the week ending 11 july 2009), then till october 2014 a top 20, and since november 2014 the current top 30 charts again (of which the top 10 is published here).  [note: total weeks on chart includes all weeks in top 30 ~ over all eras since 1985, which is why you'll see so many weeks for the consistent big sellers, which literally spend years and years in the top 30.]
